Joy Spring
~ Joy Spring is classic Clifford Brown tune. My first encounter of Joy Spring was with Joe Pass. Later I learned Harold Land, the tenor sax on the recording of Clifford Brown & Max Roach, was the author of the introduction. I learned that intro from a great musician Chris Whiteman, and that launched my arrangement of Joy Spring. |
Monk's Mood ~ Monk's Mood... This arrangement was inspired by Steve Masakowski |

Giant Steps from Footprints ~ This is a medley of two iconic jazz standards: Footprints (by Wayne Shorter) and Giant Steps (by John Coltrane). While studying quartal harmonies, I was goofing around one day and this just happened. This was not formally arranged it was improvised and I was blown away. |
